People seriously stop. My son is 11 and loves everything with soldiers and he noticed early on in the inauguration that this was

This is the problem. When people see my Asian face, some of them start to tell me how great US is. I mean even I was not born here but I grew up here and I am holding a blue passport, I know how beautiful this land is and I know everything about this country.

Disgusted and disappointed, yes. Shocked and surprised, no. This is what it means to be Asian in America. No matter how many strides we have made, we are still seen as "foreigners" by many.
