Dalai Lama's English level  達賴喇嘛英語水平

Me too: "我已經不記得原文原句,隻記得當時感覺“that woman”,那麽刺耳,就一種感覺,“我以真心付明月,奈何明月照溝渠 (### Note 1)”!" when I look at those images (vedio clips, photos), she looked up to him, a hero in her mind, showing pure love! He might think the same as she said later on he told her "love" her at the moment of their intimacy. So sad! May the Lord bring her a peace of mind and a peaceful life (*** Note 2).

People as parents particularly hate Bill Clinton for violating trust code to abuse his power to seduce a little girl. Parents, however, can't do much as Monica, 24-YO at the time, was independent - she could make her own decision, chasing her own happiness.

"When I am able to resist the temptation to judge others, I can see them as teachers of forgiveness in my life, reminding me that I can only have peace of mind when I forgive rather than judge. (Gerald Jampolsky)_

Appearance is something absolute, but reality is not that way - everything is interdependent, not absolute. So that view is very helpful to maintain a peace of mind because the main destroyer of a peaceful mind is anger.
(Dalai Lama)

**** Note #2:

Quotes for a Peace of Mind, Wellness, Hope, By Corine Gatti ...

Need a mental lift? Here are 10 encouraging quotes for a peace of mind.

I wonder if I got this right, Peace is countable or uncountable. I checked it out (above).

Peace [noun, countable, uncountable]: a state in which there is no war or fighting

: an agreement to end a war

: a period of time when there is no war or fighting

Full Definition of PEACE http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/peace

1
: a state of tranquillity or quiet: as

a: freedom from civil disturbance

b: a state of security or order within a community provided for by law or custom peace>

Examples of PEACE

  1. After many years of war, people on both sides were longing for peace.
  2. We said a prayer for world peace.
  3. He tried to negotiate a peace between the warring countries.
  4. There was a peace of 50 years before war broke out again.
  5. Peace and order were finally restored in the town.
  6. After years of therapy, he has finally achieved an inner peace.
  7. He is searching for inner peace.
  8. Insurance can provide you with peace of mind.
  9. The problem was settled and his mind was at peace.
  10. They are at peace with each other.

Conclusion:

Dalai Lama used it right as he was for a time of balance between anger and happiness (fit into the definition #4 above). The way I used was wrong, I'd have used uncountable form - not "a" in above, i.e., peace of mind.

Dalai Lama is sophosticated in English, not doubt  as he noticed such details - tiny difference.
