Erwin Rommel, \'Desert Fox\':

Heard his name in "Patton" (movie). Curious about why nick name: Fox. Viewing the films gotta me realize no matter how intelligent you're, you gotta squeezed into mold of your leader. Even Fox couldn't fit into that mold. That's his fate.

Rommel = Master of Ruse and speed  

Manstein = Brilliant strategist (co creator of the sickle blow in France)  

Patton = Ballsiest American General since General Robert E Lee.

The various high commands ignored advice from men like Rommel and a few other exceptional generals during the war and none of them lived very long even if they saw the end of the war. Some died under some odd and / or rediculous, circumstances.
