加州教區建築古跡mission San Juan capistrano (聖胡安 卡皮斯特拉諾） 位於洛杉磯以南，離海濱也很近，不遠處就是被稱為最美公路的沿海一號高速路起點Dana Point. 暑假裏雪兒參加水球青少年奧運會，正好在那個小鎮有兩場比賽，我們利用午休時間去參觀一下。牆上寫著Mission建於1776年，正是美國建國的時候，不過那時加州還屬西班牙殖民地，1821年歸墨西哥，1850年才加入美國聯邦成為第31州。
-Nice introduction and photos. how come in my memories, there are total 29 missions? the 3 missions that i visited, 2 of them are not in the list. Mission camel, Mission Ventura, Mission Santa Babara--this one is in the list. i would like to know more as a mission culture in CA state. Somehow, I feel that you have rich western culture after i read some of your posts. I would like to read more, at the same time, see if i can pull out my CA state travel quide book, and read the Mission section in order to know more. Thanks for this wonderful sharing. English forum has less people, but some of the posts are gold, silver, pearl... one like yours.

The map of the missions was from the Internet, if you look at the mission #2 near Monterey bay, it is called "Mission San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo", the Spanish name for Carmel. And The one below Santa Barbara, #9 is "Mission San Buenaventura", the Ventura one you visited.

親愛的心姐您住過很多美麗的地方呢，Santa Barbara我們去過幾次，教堂前麵大片的綠地和花壇，小鎮也雅致，有點像我們住過的Palo Alto。記得小雪選做這個教堂模型一遍一遍刷白漆粉漆“種”小花小樹嗬嗬可仔細了。那裏還有所加州大學校園在海濱很美。
有一次我們去大寶選的san Juan Bautista也有人在舉行婚禮，一份古老傳統和恩賜一份全新的幸福人生。心姐全家秋安(^.^)
綠葉扶紅花，那棵樹真的美麗，綠油油的葉。我家也有石榴隻是小叢。

親愛的餅兒，印第安人足跡遍美洲，我家街道另一頭就是一個印第安公園。這些教區是西班牙人在印第安聚集點建立的。那個瓷器大概是古董了，我家的是爸媽結婚紀念品肯定沒那麽老。

親愛的小小真是太巧了，我們也許在美麗的南加海濱，在熱鬧的街市，在燕子教堂擦肩而過了。這個教堂被稱為pearl of the missions.

我那些遊記都是當時每天趕著寫，去過的大殿和教堂都沒有認真寫。我一直說，要寫我最愛的教堂Santa Maria in Aracoeli 和 Santo Bambino的故事，一直沒有提筆。
羅馬的教堂有很多故事和傳奇，也藏有很多藝術品，有多寶貝旅遊書沒有介紹，都是朋友介紹的，我很自私，沒有和大家分享。也許是應該記錄的時候了。

燕子觀察到仔細，許多資料很寶貴，我就走馬觀花了，現在到燕子這裏再重溫一下。
給親愛的鬆鬆婷婷送咖啡~~~這些教區現在都是加州文物了，古樸神聖。在大自然的山水間，回望馬車，前人走過的El Camino Real, 幾乎每個加州沿岸城市都有這個名字的路。和朋友們聊天，大家都說有過帶著孩子們go for a road trip把21個mission都參觀的想法，但還沒有實現。
