Graduation

The rituals did not really exist
as my generations went through
No gowns and tassels
Commencement speaker and diplomats
No throwing of hats
No postings for afterward photo shoot
even to college graduation
What differences half century could make
Ceremony starts at kindergarten
Any kid getting the inspiration from the rituals
Maybe
One could see a few potential achievers
Could most of them remember any moment 30 or 50 years later
Would a running river remember
the corner stone at a particular bend or fall
Only those with exceptional long term memory
just might
at the bottom of abyss of any sea
