Morns like these - we parted -
Noons like these - she rose -
Fluttering first - then firmer
To her fair response.
這樣的清晨- 我們永別 -
這樣的中午 - 她升天了 -
先飄忽 - 後堅定地
做出她的決定 -
Never did she lisp it -
It was not for me -
She - was mute from transport -
I - from agony -
她一點都不含糊其訶 -
但那不是為我 -
她 - 天途中保持緘默 -
我 - 隻有極度苦難 -
Till - the evening nearing
One the curtains drew -
Quick! A sharper rustling!
And this linnet flew!
一直 - 挨近晚上
窗簾拉來了-
快! 一陣悉索!
這隻紅雀飛走了!
