Laughter

Occasionally
a burst of laughter would come out
into the hallway from a next door colleague
that would stir up some heated conversations
to break the silent surface
of nothing to do
I tried to write something to the new year
but words were evaporating fast
I saw cloud was forming and ready to gushing out something
with words of snowflakes
in blizzard chilly tone
That will do for the first working day
of the year
