Time

As deceiving as it is
we are our own time
An embarrassed second drags on to a day
A joyful day slips like a second

As true as it is
we are deceiving others
I did not have time ...
What an understandable excuse

As calm as it is
we are the ones who rush it
as if we could squeeze from nothing
But we need not
no reference point at any time
would have changed our course of fate

As loyal as it is
we are having our friend of life
-- the forever to each of us
