Market Watch at 08/27/2009

The weather is sunny in my area .

 

The Dow Jones industrial average gained 37.11 points, or 0.39 pct, to end at 9580.63. The

S&P’s 500 Index added 2.86 points, or 0.28 pct, to 1030.98. The Nasdaq composite Index

Rose 3.30 points, or 0.16 pct , to 2027.73.

Since crude oil prices rose $1.06 to settle at $72.49 a barrel, energy stocks were getting hit,
The energy stock rally brought the whole market up.

Today Once again, the trading was dominated by troubled financial companies.

AIG, C  both went UP
