A young man is seen going out with a young girl. The problem is that while the young boy is from a very, very humble family and that the young girl‘s father represents one of the greatest fortunes of France.

Before accepting that his daughter loves this boy, the father calls the young man in.

“I know that my daughter loves you and vice versa. I only have one question to ask.”

“Then go ahead, sir.”

“Do you have, young man, a sense for business?”

“Absolutely, sir, since I want to marry your daughter!”

一個小夥子常常與一個姑娘約會。問題是小夥子家底頗薄而姑娘的老爹則是法國最闊氣的人之一。

姑娘的老爹在認可這件情事之前，把小夥子叫來。

“我知道我女兒愛你，你也愛她，我隻想問你一個問題。”

“隨您便，大爺。”

“年輕人，你有做營生的頭腦嗎？”

“當然了，大爺，不然我怎麽看上您閨女了呢？”
