Ghost story [1]
Franz Hohler [2]
Translated by xia23
One night, when Mrs. Scholl was home alone, she heard footsteps in the attic. Since she did not find anything, and the footsteps did not die down, it made her scared, finally it could be a break-in. She took her husband’s pistol from the nightstand, made her way up the attic stairs with her heart in her mouth, cautiously opened the door, hastily pressed the light switch, and shouted: “Hands up!”
But her fear had been in vain. There were only two feet, which crept slowly in the attic and retreated out.
