1.      放棄書表報名方法，選用ECFMG網上報名

2.      進入www.ecfmg.org 的IWA頁麵，申請自己的USMLE/ECFMG身份號碼；數小時至5個工作日內你就會收到你的八位數字的身份號碼（ID）和臨時密碼(Password),分兩個電子郵件發送。身份號碼是你在USMLE/ECFMG係統中基本上唯一的特征代碼（加上生日），所以應安全保存；另一方麵你必須在第一次使用臨時密碼時重新選擇你的新密碼，因為你不能用臨時密碼再次登入。

3.      如果在申請ID中遇到問題, 最好的辦法是打電話尋問，除此之外，很難解決。

4.      得到ID和密碼後，進入頁麵回答有關安全問題，以免你忘記了你的密碼;

5.      在IWA頁麵完成申請表，依據你的實際情況填寫;

6.      信用卡或支票（需填寫Form-900）付款

7.      最後，完成申請後應打印出Form-183（或Form-186）然後將你的護照標準照片粘上，（照片背麵須寫上你的ID號和姓名）按要求簽名蓋章, 寄送地址見本章文中。
