Trees  樹

(1)
I  think  that  I  shall  never  see  我想我從未見過一首
A  poem  lovely  as  a  tree.  美如玉樹的詩章。

A  tree  whose  hungry  mouth  is  prest  一棵張著饑餓嘴巴的樹，
against  the  earth's  sweet  flowing  breast;  緊壓在大地甘美而流暢的乳房上;
(3)
A  tree  that  looks  at  God  all  day,  一棵整天望著神的樹，
And  lifts  her  leafy  arms  to  pray;  舉起枝葉繁茂的手臂來祈禱；
(4)
A  tree  that  may  in  summer  wear  一棵樹在夏日裏可能
A  nest  of  robins  in  her  hair;  戴著一窩知更鳥在頭發上；
(5)
Upon  whose  bosom  snow  has  lain;  雪花堆積在她的懷抱裏；
Who  intimately  lives  with  the  rain.  雨水也和她親切地生活在一起。

Poems  are  made  by  fools  like  me,  像我這樣愚笨的人可以做詩，
But  only  God  can  make  a  tree.  但唯有神方能造樹。
