最近這幾課，都很費時間。雖然放在這裏的錄音是最終“一氣嗬成”，未經剪輯的結果，但練習的時候，卻是一句一句“磨”過來的。
有時自己感覺練得比較順的，錄出來不一定有好的效果。這一課練習的時候我就感覺語感找得比上一課好一點，可是讀完聽起來卻不如上一課好。反正學習的過程中，時進時退也屬正常。耐住寂寞，慢慢練吧。
人言十年寒窗苦，我在那“寒窗”裏前後呆了二十多年，從沒感覺到過一點苦。可是現在這一次“回爐”，雖然隻是每天做這麽一點點作業而已，卻真的仿佛是在挑戰極限、考驗自己。
Lesson 28 No parking
Jasper White is one of those rare people who believe in ancient myths. He has just bought a new house in the city, but ever since he moved in, he has had trouble with motorists. When he returns home at night, he always finds that someone has parked a car outside his gate. Because of this, he has not been able to get his own car into his garage even once. Jasper has put up 'No Parking' signs outside his gate, but these have not had any effect. Now he has put an ugly stone head over the gate. It is one of the ugliest faces I have ever seen. I asked him what it was and he told me that it was Medusa, the Gorgon. Jasper hopes that she will turn motorists to stone. But none of them has been turned to stone yet!
