(16) 小兒給我講Johnny Appleseed 的故事。完了後，他補充說：“He died and went to ...”他用食指往上指了指。看他那一本正經指天堂的樣子很好玩，就逗他：“Why don't you think he went to ...”我用食指往下指了指。他詫異地盯了我一會，一字一頓地說：“Mom, that is wrong direction.”

(17) 小兒跆拳道的教練Ken 二十歲剛出頭就和他的高中甜心結婚了。蜜月後第一堂課，新婚燕爾的他喜形於色地對大夥說：“I went to Maui with my NEW wife.” 小兒聽了，舉手發問：“What happened to your OLD wife?”
