ABBA永遠是一支讓人感覺幸福的樂隊，它所傳達的快樂是經久不衰的是不會隨著時間的流逝而消失的。如果僅僅以數字來衡量一個樂隊的話，那麽除了甲克蟲外，就是ABBA了。ABBA是音樂曆史上第二支擁有連續三首冠軍單曲的樂隊，他們在音樂史上所取得的成就在七十年代與八十年代初期一時間無人能隨其左右。

ABBA成立於1973年，樂隊名字各取自於其四名樂隊成員的姓名字頭，他們分別是Benny Andersson、Bjorn Ulvaeus、Agenetha Faltskog、Anni-Frid Lyngstad，而更巧的是這兩男兩女又是兩對夫婦，這樣的組合在合作無不透著各種默契。基本上樂隊的所有歌曲均是由之中兩位男士來編寫，自然演唱任務則由另兩位女士來承擔了。成立時期是Beatles等樂隊淡出樂壇的時候，
1974年他們憑借一曲“Waterloo”（滑鐵盧）登上英國流行歌曲排行榜冠軍，
之後又有多首熱門單曲，象“Dancing Queen”（舞後）、“Knowing Me,Knowing You”（了解我，了解你）、“Take A Chance On Me”（別放棄機會）、“The Winner Takes It All”（贏家全收）、 “S.O.S”、“Fernando”（費爾南多）、“One Nighe In Bankok”（曼穀之夜）及“I Have A Dream”（我有個夢）等。ABBA是我們目前所知道的樂隊中最偉大的單曲樂隊，在他們活躍在歌壇的那一段時間裏，他們幾乎創作演唱每一首歌曲都會紅得不得了，立即會風靡整個歐洲並且在世界各地廣為流傳，不知其數的一、二、三、四流歌手無數遍地翻唱他們的歌曲，也都會捧紅自己，這其中自然也包括許多的華語歌手。
