在美國(66)如何熄掉汽車維修燈

汽車上有一個維修的警示紅燈，英文是maintenance light，到了一定的時間就會亮。既然是維修的警示燈，以前我以為通常是表明車子需要維修了，譬如說機油太髒了，空氣濾清器太髒了，刹車油需要添加了等等。現在我猜這些都不正確，事實是這些即使有問題，車燈不一定會亮，而即使這些都沒有任何問題，這個燈到了一定的時間也是會亮的，目的是提醒你去換油。

我經常自己給汽車換油，雖然比較髒也並不怎麽省錢，但是肯定省時間！可是這個車燈亮了我就沒辦法了，實際上去Walmart的換油好像也不把這個燈滅掉，每到這時候我去FireStone換油，那裏會把燈滅掉。我希望自己能夠滅掉這個燈。

常言說：難者不會，會者不難。幾天前這個燈又亮了，我在網上查了一下“Maintenance Light”，結果第一個出來的就是教你如何把車燈滅掉，不過是關於Toyota的車，然後我換了“Maintenance Light Honda”，這次就是教你如何把Honda的警示燈滅掉，步驟極其簡單，把車鑰匙插入，把裏程表(odometer,tripometer)回零的按鈕按住，發動汽車，大約20秒的樣子，燈就滅了。下麵是網上的圖：


和網友們分享！雖然解決了我的問題，不過“警示燈亮了是否說明車子的某部位有問題？”“機油髒了車燈會亮嗎？”，也許有人能夠給一個肯定的回答。博客裏網友們的評論也很有趣，補充了我這篇博文不足的地方：

丁莊秀園：問得很好。這個不是 engine light，那個燈上麵一般有一個發動機的圖。如果是 engine light，一般是比較嚴重的問題，問題不解決也熄不了燈。我們這裏的Autozone 可以免費幫你查查毛病，有的可能換一個零件就好了，但一般來說最好到修車那裏去解決。

丁莊秀園：這位一看是懂行的，指出你隻需要把車鑰匙擰一下打開電源，不用打開發動機。

ding129: I think you did not read your car owner's manual which has clear instruction how to turn off this light. I own a Honda Accord and did many times by myself just follow the manual.
丁莊秀園：這位說汽車手冊裏有說明，我是沒有認真讀過的，我猜想不看汽車手冊的肯定不止我一個，我猜是多數吧：）

丁莊秀園：是啊，燈亮了有些維修的東西自己可能沒有做，一般來說還是去車行可靠，特別如果是新車。像我這樣自己換機油的，我想還是有用的。

maintenance light燈亮，隻是說規定的換機油裏程數到了。engine check light燈亮說明發動機有問題或者發動機的問題影響到了排氣的狀況，可用scaner檢查（一般是sensor的問題）。

Okay guys, this is what the light is for: Your car's computer calculates and reminds you next maintenance due. This may include oil change and other general maintenance items, including: tire rotation, coolant drain and refill, brake fluid flush, gear oil change etc., depending on the year and make of your car. Once maintenance is performed you reset the light. You do not just turn it off. For details of maintenance PLEASE read your owner's manual.

哈哈，你這是治標不治本啊。要查一下說明書，多少裏程需要維護啥等等……

engine check也可以滅掉，斷了電池，等一分鍾再接上。 但問題沒修好，很快又亮了。如果您會修些小毛病，我講的也許有點兒用。
