我想大家可能聽說了奧運聖火傳遞過程中的一路荊棘。今天在倫敦聖火甚至差點被搶被
滅。然而，很多美國人不了解情況，我的一位美國同事甚至以為中國人都憎恨北京奧運
，她說她曾經讀到過一篇什麽文章說這個的。我想，現在是時候讓美國人知道我們是支
持奧運的。我們為在中國舉辦奧運會感到驕傲。奧運會象征和平，象征希望，象征世界
大同各民族親如一家。奧運會不應該和政治攪和在一起。
現在我們能做的最簡單的，就是在我們的車上貼上奧運的標誌。這樣我們的車到哪裏，
人們就看到知道海外中國人是支持奧運，為中國驕傲的。盡管大多時候我們中國人很沉
默，但當中國需要我們的時候，我們會在這兒。當我們在路上看到另一輛車上的奧運標
誌時，我們心裏會覺得溫暖我們又多一個戰友。當路上有越來越多的車上有中國奧運標
誌的時候，這也是我們中國人展示自己力量的時候。中國人團結起來，就再也不能被忽
視了。
自己DIY做一個標誌貼在車上是很容易的。我自己一個下午做了不少。把這份email附件
的兩個圖片打印下來。用透明膠帶覆蓋使之可以防水，然後用透明膠帶粘到您的車上，
這就做好了。
或者您可以從很多網站和本地店裏定做。在google 上搜索 “bumper stickers” 您能
找到很多這樣的店。單價應該在10美元以下。
如果您認同我的觀點，請讓更多的人知道。如果有組織能夠出麵定做和發放標誌貼就更
好了。有更多人支持參與，我們才會更強大。而這次支持奧運，也是我們在美中國人展
示我們力量和影響的時候。或者至少，當人們意識到這兒中國人不少，我們的聲音也能
更引起重視啊！
Simply put a sticker on your car to support Beijing Olympics
This is the least we can do for our country now. I guess we all heard about
the news that a lot of protests are on the way of Olympic torch relay. Today
in London the torch flame almost got distinguished. I remember I talked
with an America co-worker before about Beijing Olympics. However, she
thought Chinese people didn\'t want Beijing to host Olympics and she had read
an article about this. Today I just want to say that we, Chinese overseas,
should do something to show our support. Olympics stand for peace, hope, and
people of all races being together like a family. Olympics should not be
messed with politics.
The simplest thing we can do now is just to put a Beijing Olympic logo on
our cars. So wherever we go, people can see that we Chinese overseas
actually support Beijing Olympics and are proud of our country. We might be
silent most of the time, but when our country needs us, we are here for her.
When we see another car on the road with an Olympic logo, we know we have
one more comrade. When there are more and more cars with Olympic logos, we
are demonstrating our strength. We Chinese cannot be ignored any more.
To get a bumper sticker is easy. I have made quite a lot this afternoon by
myself. Just print out the 2 figures attached to this email. Then use
transparent tape to cover the paper to make it water-proof. Then attach it
on your bumper with transparent tape. You are done. If you want one from me,
please just let me know. I live in Cary, NC.
Alternatively, you can order custom bumper stickers from many websites and
local stores. Just google “bumper stickers” you can find a lot. The price
for each should be less than $10.
If you like this idea, please tell your friends. And I do hope our Chinese
organizations can do something in ordering and distributing these stickers.
The more support we get, the stronger we will be. This is also a good
opportunity for us to demonstrate our strength and influence. Or at least,
when they see there is a large population of Chinese here, our voice gets a
better chance to be listened to.
