for no reason [what is reason anyway?] i see the dark back hallway of my childhood home [it is sunny now i hear the humming of the army of happy shoppers] it was my grandparents' home i was about 7 and an old couple moved in from countryside the old woman was bed ridden unable to talk clearly her old man went to work everyday left her all alone in the little dark room i was a little kid and i could hear the old woman cry all day sometimes it was like laughing i was not scared i even sneaked out to the back window from time to time to steal a look at her her room smelt bad, like death the hallway was unlit packed with useless junk when the old woman saw me [such despair in her eyes!] two black sockets buried alive and she would repeat the same lines to me, or to anybody she could see in the void of her life: "It is nothing! Nothing! I am just scared! I am scared!" ... ::z.z. '05
