WAKEFULNESS How many times Has the big bird died By the river In your dreams? Or, was it a shooting star With eyes shining Sinking In lovers' song At the edge of the town Where you call home? If you could hear The lovers’ utterance And their loud sexiness That means the bird Has finally arrived. If Death were really winged Then, by which gate The song has been heard So deep So cloudless? 我想，涅磐當然可以用作神聖的“死” - - - 不需要一一對應的指為和尚而已 -
- - 尤其暗指一種不死的死時 - - - 這是鳥,死而複生，所以是一種永恒之境 -
- - 嗯，不想純粹的隻認為是某某教的用語；即便宗教裏使用這個詞，說明“死”
是一種與“生”相應的境界

現代漢語“涅磐”：佛教用語，指所幻想的超脫生死的境界，也用做(佛或僧人)“死”的代稱。

詩中的“Big Bird”難道是個"和尚鳥"或"佛鳥"？？？凡人知凡不解。請教二位詩人！
