去捷克要不要簽證，眾說紛紜。窮遊上很多朋友切身經曆，現身說法，有的朋友順利闖關，有的運氣不佳，打道回府。各個渠道得到的信息差異極大，弄得我定行程的時候很是猶豫。
我給捷克駐法國大使館打了電話，告訴他們我的行程（日內瓦飛布拉格，然後維也納，３晚後返回，布拉格４晚，飛日內瓦），這幫人居然告訴我，我的情況基本上沒問題，不須簽證，但還是建議我去簽個證（MD你說這是人話嗎）。並且居然要我一家三口全部去巴黎一趟，不能一個人帶簽，不能郵寄，真是混蛋之至。於是痛下決心，決不簽證，多少有些提心吊膽，但最終平安無事。
我在他們大使館的網頁上找到確鑿證據，概要如下：
拿申根國家的居留或多次入境簽證的，不可以直接進入捷克，無論任何目的，比如旅遊，商務，探親，等等，必須簽證。簽證費倒不貴，30幾歐，但必須買保險，準備一大堆材料，麻煩得要死。
但是（嗬嗬，凡是就怕但是），如果是過境（transit），有申根國家的居留或多次入境簽證， 隻要是在5天之內離開捷克（和其他的新歐盟國家），就沒有問題。也就是說，你給出證據（機票，火車票，汽車票都可以），顯示你5天之內會離開捷克（和其他的新歐盟國家）去申根國家，就可以入境。這是個新政策，從2006年9月1日才實行的。
我從日內瓦飛的布拉格，定的下午的eurolines bus 去維也納。在機場，我故意剛開始沒給check in 的人看汽車票，小妹妹拿著我的護照去小房子裏打了半天電話，回來告訴我不行，不能上飛機。我才給她看汽車票，立即就放行啦。
強烈給大家推薦eurolines。我本來要定火車票，兩個人往返要180歐。Eurolines兩個星期提前訂，一共才40多歐。都是4個小時車程。
4天後從維也納回來坐汽車進捷克邊境，有人上來查護照。但看樣子隻是走形式。我們沒有捷克的入境簽證，那哥們翻了翻，沒有提任何問題。如果真地問簽證，我估計給他們看我們的返程機票，也是理直氣壯的transit，應該沒有問題。聽說坐火車和開車去也是這樣，查得都不嚴。
如果打算先去布拉格，再去布達佩斯，如果加起來超過5天，是不允許的。必須5天之內離開新歐盟國家。
布拉格古跡很多，很值得一遊，大家有時間去玩一玩，非常好。

The transit visa regulations for the Czech Republic will change on 1st September 2006.
This means that holders of
- valid Schengen visa to all Schengen countries (type B or C)
- valid visa issued by any of a new EU country (type B or C)
- valid long term visa (type D) issued by any EU country (except the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Ireland), Iceland or Norway
- valid residence permit issued by any EU country (except the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Ireland) , Iceland, Norway, Switzerland or Liechtenstein
are entitled to enter the Czech Republic FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSIT to any SCHENGEN AREA MEMBER STATE, SWITZERLAND or PRINCIPALITY OF LIECHTENSTEIN without the Czech visa. The transit period can be UP TO MAXIMUM 5 DAYS through all countries. This means that travellers must pass through all the new member states from for example Hungary over the Slovak Republic and Czech Republic to Schengen countries withing five days.
NOTICE:
- the validity of the above mentioned visas and documents has to be valid for the time of transit
- the visa with the limited territorial validity is not valid
- the visa waiver regime is valid only for the PURPOSE OF TRANSIT, NOT for VACATIONS AND TOURIST STAYS.
