兒子拿了一個F

 這gifted班還是不一樣，除每天好幾張紙的作業外，最重要的是老爸老媽要參與兒子的學習--每天要在兒子的記事本上簽字，每周要在兒子帶回來的一個大信封上簽字，表明父母看到了兒子一個禮拜的作業和考試成績。上周五，老爸一到家，兒子就拿出了他的大信封，沒等老爸看，就自己說了：Dad, I got only one F this week, not too bad. Over all, I have three As and two Bs. 老爸拿起兒子一周的作業和考試單，看了一遍，知道這個F的原因了，課堂考試，9道題，兒子作對了5道。按老師的標準，嘿嘿，少於60分，當然是F了。

老爸看了一下兒子的錯誤，哈哈，老毛病了--都是沒仔細讀資料就回答問題。 隻有一道題是有點tricky的。扭頭看看兒子：Not bad over all. However, you would have gotten a better score if you had been careful and paid more attention to the test. I have the same words to you again--if you don‘t know how to figure out a problem, and therefore you get a bad score, you deserve it; If you get a bad score because of your carelessness, you are a fool. Without this F, you could be an A for the subject. Oh, boy, I hope you learn the lesson。

兒子看了一眼老爸：I know， I know. Nobody is perfect, anyway.

老爸無言。
