小天使（1415）-孩子用什麽杯子喝水？

前不久和朋友閑聊，說起給孩子上學帶飯的事。朋友說，她現在已經不用杯子給孩子帶水了，而是用店裏買的Bottle Water，說是以前用的塑料杯總有一股味道。我將信將疑，因為從來沒有覺得孩子用的杯子有味道。

前兩天讀了一本關於Motivation書，才大吃一驚！原來普通塑料杯子裏麵的一種成分叫作Bisphenol A，對孩子有極大的危害：不僅影響孩子的生理發育，而且可能導致多動症和孩子Unmotivative。作者列舉了大量的試驗數據和Clinical測試結果，將Bisphenol A列為影響孩子Motivation的５個原因之一（Bisphenol-A is a hormone-disrupting chemical considered to be potentially harmful to human health and the environment. ）。有興趣的朋友可以看看那本書或者Google一下，保管你也大吃一驚。

哪些瓶子含Bisphenol A呢？基本上多數瓶子都有，因為Bisphenol A是塑料工業普遍使用的一種成分，但clear plastic bottles，也就是可樂，瓶裝水等軟飲料裏麵含得最多。想知道Bisphenol A是什麽味道嗎？嚐一嚐夏天放在車後備箱裏的瓶裝水，您就知道了，因為Bisphenol A在加熱時更容易溶解於水中。

So what should we do?

盡量不要用塑料杯子喝水；Do not give your child soft vinyl toys or pacifiers made with phthalates --- look for products labeled "BPA-free".

我呢，看了書的第二天就給兩孩子各買了一個鋼杯子（stainless steel bottle）。嗨，都快成驚弓之鳥了。
