小天使(1018)-家庭圓桌會議

老媽從南韓鄰居的菜園子裏摘了點紫蘇葉子，拿回家來考老爸。老爸說，可以用來燒雞，有特殊的香味。昨晚就成了老爸掌勺，就燒一道菜。等端上桌子，兒女圍上來，大啃雞塊，老爸喝著啤酒，就開始了我們的家庭圓桌會議。

老爸對女兒說：“I paid your bill. The 50% discount is not sure yet. I told themthat you might not consider this university if they did not giveyoudiscount.”

女兒說：“That's right, let's fight with them！”

老媽說：“你老爸一走，也就沒有這個discount了。還是好好複習，考好點，去別的學校吧。”

女兒說：“那要好多錢呢。”

老爸說：“Earning money is dad and mom's job. Your don't have to worrytoomuch. My goal is to support you so you can get out of collegedebt-free.”

女兒說：“How about brother's college cost? When are you going to save for him.”

老爸說：“ After you get out of college, I will start to save for him. Bythetime he goes to college, you can lend a hand to him, too， right?”

女兒點點頭：“Ok, I will.”

老媽對看著兒子說：“別瞧不起我們家兒子，人家能拿獎學金呢。去MIT，是不是？（MIT是兒子去年去過的學校，說那裏好。）”

兒子說：“If I have a million dollars, what should I do?”

老爸說：“Find a nice girl and marry her.”

女兒馬上起哄：“Yeah, right! ”

。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。

看看，孩子的理想就是在這種氣氛下熏陶出來地嘛。不過，女兒第一次答應給弟弟上大學出力，還是讓老爸老媽欣慰。
