how-two 包涵的範圍更大些，是大學作文課（English 101）裏必修的作文類型，教材裏有詳細地介紹怎樣寫，也有範文。我曾上過該課，這個類型簡單實用，所以也是上課當堂寫，一小時後交卷（當然也更長）。
給你抄一些tips:
1. pay attention to your audience.不要把群眾想象成專家,不要用太專業的詞匯.
2. 如果你碰巧對這個問題比較熟悉,千萬不要忘記自誇幾句放在introduction裏,提高文章的權威性.比方說How to Survive a Hotel Fire，如果你碰巧是消防隊的，你就可以說 As a firefighter, I have seen many people die in hotel fires.Most could have saved themselves had they been prepared.
3.找出解決該問題的方法的全部步驟，
4。把這些步驟按時間順序排列好，
5。group your steps in the process.每個大group可以包含幾個小steps.
6。anticipate difficulties. Warn your audience in advance when to expect problems. e.g. "This step requires your constant attention." or "Youd'd better have a friend handy to help with this step."
7.tell the reader what to do if something goes wrong.比方點心照你說的方法做還是有點生,那就在多烤幾分鍾貝,就是你說的counter example,怎麽解決，如果不能解決，可以警告讀者你的strategy的適用範圍。
8。最後結論強調你的主題，如果想錦上添花，也可以給你的strategy一個新應用前景。
