Pearl Necklace 

There is a small

Lake next to your

Neck. . . . Moonlight

Picks out your shoulder

Bones, a smooth shore.

After eating out,

Rouged by the Spanish

Wine, Meeka Udon
And the fleeting stars,

Your face was a pink

Moon . . . .

Kneeled beside

The quiet playground, 

I put the pearl necklace

Around your neck.

Unchurched, breathless,

We swam together

In the thick night

Air . . . . If

There's a measurement

for love, for this light 

And their round

Warmth of liquid fire,

It has to be found

In our fearless

Songs at the bottom

Of the night.
