Part1. 歡迎多多批評指正
I chatted with Mr. Delaney and told him that I really wanted to work at ABC News. I told him I had a considerable amount of work experience compared with many of my peers and would be a real asset to the organization. I let him know that I was there, and then some! But he was most impressed by my ability to worm my way into his office and seemed amused when I briefed him on "Operation Delaney." He actually moved my resume from near the bottom of the pile to the top. I was hired a few weeks later.
Where I got the nerve, at twenty-two, to do this, I'm still not sure. Maybe I have my mom to thank. I got my first job in TV news and made incredible contacts. My first day at work, the colorful ABC White House correspondent Sam Donaldson jumped on my desk and sang "K-K-K-Katie" at the top of his lungs, and swept me away to a White House news conference. That day it was my turn to be flummoxed.
