the same fallacies are applied to buying stocks... remember the loser stocks touted in this place?
so many 'sound' fundamental arguments why they were supposed to be undervalued and will go up and make people rich, while ignoring the facts (what the actual prices were doing).
the same thing is happening here... so many 'sound' reasons why taking away guns will prevent crimes, while ignoring the facts.
