1. the 'what if' part is - I can also ask, what if you are the parent helplessly watching a home invasion in progress and there is nothing you can do to save your kid. this is supported by hard facts.

2. the 'i am a dad' part is also irrelevent - i am a dad too, but it's got nothing to do with the gun policy debate.

3. you are right about 'there must be a way'... and that is to arm up the schools.... proven fact that more guns = less crime.
