Big lay off in financial sector trigger rally in financial share

Citigroup to Cut 11,000 Jobs, $1.1 Billion in Costs

US corporation's profits only come from job cutting now. There is no growth in sight. When the financial shares spike on the news, would this be bullish for US economy? FreeTrader's analyst about Banks is way out of bound. In last 4 yrs, all the things FED are doing is try to stabilize these banks. However, they are far away from stable in any measure. With the people out of work force, and personal income / spending are dropping back to 2010 level, recession in US is only inches away.
