somehow bought Birkshire Hathaway many years ago and held the shares for 30-40 years. I would say she is more lukcy than good at stock picking.
By saying that, I agree with your statements. Unfortunately 90% of people were born in the way that they would better not even get close to the stock. As I said before, your biggest enemy of stock investment is the person you see every morning through the mirror of the bathroom.
