有必要給老房子入水管裝過濾器的嗎？

問問地主們，有必要給老房子入水管裝過濾器的嗎？

我的一棟房子的熱水鍋爐壞了，一查是熱傳感器被水裏的雜質搞壞了，幹脆換了一個新鍋爐，水暖工跟我講， 最好在主管道入水口處裝一個過濾器，定期更換過濾芯，還建議我其它幾棟房子也裝，我問了周邊朋友，都沒有聽說過，所以來這裏請教一下。

如果要裝，費用是多少？
