check ur tax bill carefully.  most of time, the word "mello roos" doesn't show on tax bill.  sstead, it is break down into few items w/ those fancy names.  they are easy for homeowner to ignore buy they pay the total.  funny thing is somebody claims (s)he never pay mello roos.  in fact, they always pay it year in year out w/out knowing.

whether or not it is tax deductible, you have ot contact IRS to get updated or check ur CPA for professional advice.
