Help!

I am in US, and I have a condo in Chicago. A Canadian professor wants to rent for his project there. But I don’t know how to check Canadian’s credit. Which website provides that kind of services for Canadian? Does Canadian have something like SS# in order for me to run a credit report? Thank you.
