I used to stay in midwest. We have 2 of top 10 whitest towns (population at least 100,000)as well as 2 of top 10 blackest towns.  After we moved to east coast, the situation is quite different.  It is very common to see all kinds of races as neighbors. One reason is probably due to that miniorities here usually receive high income as well.  Furthermore, I noticed many Chinese and Korean stay in the most expensive (usually the best) communities.
