疑問: 出租房的樓梯

大家出租房的樓梯用什麽材料？地毯？硬木？or other material?

想去掉樓梯上的地毯。contractor 估價$100/step, 包括---去地毯，釘硬木板，刷清漆。三層townhouse,很多的台階，這個價錢。。。。你懂的。。。。

地毯一掀， 下麵已經是solid wood surface, 不明白為什麽還要再釘一層木板，直接打磨上漆不是更快？？？
