JY101, would you please tell me why I need to pass this house wi

OMG. I am scared when you advise me to pass the house. Would you please tell me why? The handyman says it can be fixed, and will not have more trouble after he fixes. I do not know if I can count on him.

When I went to see the house 1 month ago, the basement was so dry; when I went to see it about 1 week ago, the basement  has water that made my shoe sides wet; today, the basement is damp. The bottom of the wooden wall in the basement is rotten and gone, the inside of the wall shows sealing from previous owner. The listing agent stated he did not know water in basement.

I trust your opinion more. The house is not closed yet, is foreclosured house. Please give me more info. Thanks so much.
