Recently I've seen 2 stories:
1) One got sued by state, illegal gambling... In the end had to settle for 3rd degree something, surrender 3 restaurants including liquor license... all wiped out.
2) One got sued for ponzi. 50M portfolio went to receivership. 15M so called equity went to 0. After 6 years, settled for "selling unregister paper", which is also felony.
As far as what they telling me, they are totally innocent. Just be careful. We all know it's 法治社會, yeah right.
