Termidor 與有機磷殺白蟻劑不同，有機磷殺白蟻劑需要高劑量，而termidor的劑量比例小，就防治和保護的時間長度而言，它比有機磷殺白蟻劑的有效期長。

Termidor與擬除蟲菊酯類的驅避殺白蟻劑不同。驅避的殺白蟻劑要達到100％的效果，就必需完成一個連續的無間隙或斷層的屏障，實際上這是很難做到的事。相反，termidor 殺死所有進入處理區域的白蟻而不是排斥它們，白蟻沒有檢出毒素的能力而不斷進入處理過的泥土，連續不斷地接受致死劑量。
