have a hard time understanding object oriented design even though they claimed they have been doing OOD/OOP for more than 10+ years using C++/Java/Object J, etc. On the other hand, the few really good OO developers are all native American here.

BTW, many Chinese developers are working on database related projects, either as coder or DBA. That area requires the least of OOD. Thus I had a hard time to agree with Nonsense123 on "搞DB的應該很厲害。比coder還厲害", especially considering she is from Silicon Valley area.
