I feel your agony..I checked out a sec 8 property

 as soon as my offer has been accepted. I changed mind and backed out immediatly because the house was in very bad condition. The kitchen has been flooded before. The electrical was burnt out. The carpet was grossly dirty. The wall painted in odd, bold colors. Even baseboards were painted in the same odd colors! There was a very strong tobacco smell throughout the house. The estimate to repair and to restore it to rentable condition was at least 8K, which made the house not a good deal any more.
