My understanding: 40 years

Moses led the Jews into the desert and lived a hard life in the desert for 40 years so his people, the upcoming generation, would have forgotten the abundance and good life in Egypt.

Housing market will not be in general sustained bull market until the main body of investors are replaced by new ones who have got no idea how great the housing market had been.

So, 40 year.
