Dishonest American (3)

Once again! 

Nothing to do in office this afternoon and I left earlier to see my properties. I met an 80-year-old handyman, who is currently taking care of a lawyer's 25 properies, happened to be there next my door.

He used to have 40 properties but he sold them all when he was 65 (15 years ago). He said that dishonest is the way the American do! Just as this lawyer's property (we were standing in front of one of the properties when he was talking about it), when somone came to the lawyer to promise he would get this house exterior paint done at the price of $1000. After he got the $1000, he totally disappeared. Also, a tenant moved out without paying anything (the owner was supposed to get deposit and first month rent from PRC as the tenant said that's what he was doing and asked the lawyer to fill some forms) but left a huge amount of utility bills within 30 days! 

He said that things are getting worse and wors and he would have applied for bankruptcy if he had kept them due to dishonest people. He told me: Be careful for everything...
