Recently, I gave an offer to a Fannie Mae owned property. The government accepted the offer and send me the addendum to sign. But the addendum said I need to pay my agent $195 out of the commission paid by the seller. I asked my agent, she said it is the fees to keep the record to 5-7 years for government audit. She also said the fees are low comparing to the other agency, just like we need to pay the dealer fees if we buyer a car. Is it true? Or she just tries to benefit herself. I never pay the commission when I buy the other property. Any one knows?
