I have been looking to invest in real estate for almost a year but have not yet done anything. I am really anxious to start soon. The population density is high along the Hudson River. With NYC on the other side of the river, I think the rental market should have some momentum. However, there are a lot of immigrants and blue collar people in this area too so I think the risk of running into a bad tenant may also be high (I am just assuming). If I were to invest in this area, I would definitely hire a property management company to help.
