under sec 179, which expired on 12/31/2011, was allowing business owners to elect special bonus depreciation, for business requirements up to 2mil, for 100% write off the first year in service.

I posted the information here few times over last 18 months, hopefully some forum members took advantage of it. I purchased a SUV in 2010, full size truck in 2011.

the deal was, any full size SUV or Truck, over 6000lb gross weight, 100% write off first year. or any passenger vehicles, up to $10,500 write off first year.
