We talked with Direct TV and they told us that they do not need to put the satellite dish on your roof.  We understand your concern about the roof and they told us that alot of people install  the dish themselves.  We would not do that.  The home we live in now has a satellite is not on the roof, we had to have a custom install because the roof has Spanish clay tiles and can't have anything on it.  Direct TV instructed me to write on the form that the Dish cannot be installed on the roof due to possibility of damage so I did.  We have had Direct TV for 15 years and have had no problem.  We have alot of money invested in Direct TV because we had to pay for all of the equipment and have a contract with them.  To start with another company would put alot of expense to us.    We will have the custom install done to protect your roof.   We hope this information puts you at ease and will reconsider our request.  Please send us the fax number that we can send the form to for your approval signature.
