Increase tax has no use. increase tax on riches has no use because those rich people will just leave the country and transfer the assets to oversea shelters with layers and layers corporate holding companies.
Tax increase will ultimately be born by middle class.
Tax increase will not improve financial abyss since government will spend whatever on military, social and entitlement programs.
If WB was a decent person, he would demand political and financial reform and government reform.
Cut government sizes, cut tax and pay down the debts is the only way out. Will WB have any guts to say so?
The other way out is default on debts with new currency. This is likely the path we are heading.
