空調不製熱，修理工說coil漏freon，還能修不？

我們空調是96年的，在去年夏天買下房子時就發現漏光了freon、不製冷。當時找了個老墨加上9磅freon，好了。過幾天再試，仍然製冷，但沒試製熱。現在tenant說不製熱，找另一個technician去看了，說缺freon，而且coil有泄露，已無法修理，必須整個更換，Trane品牌連空調unit帶配件、labor要價$4950+tax。

無論怎麽說這都是一大筆錢，能省肯定要省，所以請教大家這種coil泄露的問題真的沒法修麽？

必須換的話，不到1500尺麵積配一個2.5ton HVAC應該夠了吧。這種空調連設備帶人工要價$4950合理不？

我們有Old Republic的Home Warranty，最basic那種。看policy的意思好像是說AC unit最多隻賠到$1500，超出部分就不負責了。不知我有沒有理解對。
