去年是工作以來最忙的一年, 但是卻沒滿足新老板的要求

在目前的公司工作了10多年, 每年的年終考核基本都是最高的, 2025年是工作以來最忙的一年, 公司重組並且上了很多新技術, 學了很多新東西, 不僅管好了自己的那一攤, 還學習並涉足了其他部門的工作, 但是卻沒滿足新老板的要求, 他說我 did good work, 但並沒有滿足他的期待, 仍然需要改進. 

現在想想就是他給我配了一個 backup, 並讓我幫助這個backup 把我以前做的所有東西都轉移到一個新係統, 但當時這個 backup 說他沒有學過這個新係統, 所以我當時就仍然用舊係統去培訓這個 backup. 心想等過一陣, 這個backup學會了新係統, 我再讓他把東西轉移到新係統上. 後來一忙, 就把這事給忘了. 

公司的Review is 5個級別, 他給我的是 2-Need Development. 我現在正在和他 Argue. 大家給出點主意, 我正在給他寫信, 列證據. 先謝了

Enable data driven decisions
XX is a reliable expert on YYY and ZZZ fields. While his tactical support is strong, he needs to elevate his approach to become more strategic. I fully support his recent progress on the IML product side and encourage him to continue shifting his energy from reactive requests to proactive solution building
 
Drive efficiencies and improve employee experience
Consistent with his work on A products, XX needs to apply a strategic lens to internal efficiencies. While his reliability in tactical process management is appreciated, his primary goal should be to leverage automation and AI to eliminate manual interventions entirely. He should channel his efforts into building efficiency 'products' that scale, rather than focusing on day-to-day operational maintenance
 
Continuous improvement customer satisfaction
XX is exceptionally reliable and consistently delivers results for stakeholders. While his execution is strong, his approach remains largely tactical. Moving forward, he must prioritize strategic product development over ad-hoc support. The objective is to empower customers through robust tools and features, minimizing their dependency on his direct support
 
To be influential and collaborative
XX continues to be a supportive and engaged team member, particularly in his work with the EDAI team and training new staff. While his collaborative spirit is strong, his communication skills are becoming a limiting factor. To advance, he must focus on communicating his ideas and technical solutions more clearly. Elevating his communication standard is the critical next step to ensuring his expertise is fully understood and valued by stakeholders.
 
Migrate to more modern, user-friendly, and scalable approach to new areas
I am fully supportive of XX's investment in YYY and ZZZ. It is good to see his recognizing the efficiency gains over BBB. Now, he must channel this technical understanding into strategic execution, leading the effort to migrate our framework to this more scalable, user-friendly approach
 
Career development
XXX possesses the problem-solving skills necessary to excel here, but his approach to modernization has been too tentative. While the intent to learn is good, I desire a much deeper engagement. Given his tenure, he should not just be building expertise but actively defining how these scalable approaches replace legacy systems. I expect him to translate his experience into authoritative technical leadership
 
Summary
XXX possesses strong problem-solving skills and the potential to manage complex issues, as evidenced by positive feedback on his reliability. However, his approach remains disproportionately tactical rather than strategic product development. To close this gap, XXX must shift his mindset from 'completing tasks' to 'driving innovation.' He needs to take ownership of modernizing our tech stack—not just participating in it—and empower customers through self-service products. Finally, I encourage XXX to invest in improving his communication skills. This is vital so that his ideas are heard clearly, enabling his to be more influential and ensuring his technical expertise drives the impact it deserves.
